Chef Christopher Scott returns to The Red Geranium Restaurant and the Conference Center as Executive Chef.
Chef Chris always had the taste of being in the kitchen, even while still in high school Chef Chris worked in a restaurant in Evansville, Indiana. He realized this at that time that this would be his career. Right after completion of his basic education, the Evansville Petroleum Club selected him as the Banquet Manager and from there he continued his training under various International Chefs.
Chef Scott realized he wanted more than just to be a face in a kitchen, so he decided to enroll at the prestigious “Le Cordon Bleu” College of Culinary Arts in Scottsdale, Arizona where he graduated with honors. During his studies he worked in various kitchen positions at fine dining restaurants to further hone his skills. After graduation he then worked as Executive Chef at the well-known House of Tricks in Tempe, Arizona.
In 2006, Chris realized he wanted to be back in the Evansville area and accepted a culinary position at the Red Geranium Restaurant. This became a stepping-stone to an even better position as Executive Chef at the Newburgh Rolling Hills Country Club. After gaining recognition there, the Victoria National appointed him as Executive Chef.
When the position as Executive Chef at the Red Geranium at the New Harmony Inn became available, Chef Scott was recruited to take up the helm. We are thrilled to have him “back”. His leadership role combined with his culinary skills will take us to the next step of becoming the finest dining establishment at the tristate area.
